I only stayed for the 1 night but we had everything we needed. The Italian Restuarant was very good, great service and nice food would recommend. Our room was looking out to the river which was lovely.
My wife and I stayed four nights. We enjoyed the experience very much, and the location on the Thames is a bonus. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and the full English breakfast is one of the best.
We sat in the lounge/bar for over an hour and at least five tables covered with used crockery/cutlery/glasses were not cleared. It was very quiet and there was no reason why the person serving in the bar at the time could not have cleared the tables. No other staff appeared to be around.
Its location suited us for a long weekend away. We used to live in the area (26 years ago) and revisited some of our old haunts! The bar food was good value for money, but if you want a hot plate ask for one, our first night meal was spoilt by cold plates. Second night, when I asked was totally different.
Standard of plumbing could be improved, but did work, just. First room we had the toilet did not flush, moved with no problem to another room, sink and shower in this room very slow to drain away. Again livable with but not the what one would expect.
This was a good bargain for a reasonable quality hotel right on the river Thames. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere for a pleasant evening over unpretentious pub food and good beer. If the weather is right, you can enjoy pleasant views of the river just across the road from the pub, or even (if you are lucky) from your room.
The breakfast was poorly organised and in a rather depressing room. Some products ran out and there was no attempt to replace them. In the room itself, the shower was erratic and the television difficult to manage (several remote controls and no instructions how to use them).
Clean comfortable rooms, friendly bar open late to residents. The hotel has a nice location overlooking the river Thames. The hotel also has free parking for about 30 cars.
Handing keys into reception each time you leave the hotel.
This hotel was fantastic, the staff where freindly, rooms where clean and the english breakfast was great, the views where very good, I really recommend this hotel.
This is a comforable well run hotel that is excellent valiue for money. Free wifi in the rooms and the view of the river Thames are a plus.
A friendly, clean , and well positioned hotel with helpful staff that represents very good value.
A friendly and clean hotel with good facilities
The Hotel is old. We live in a Victorial house - so home from home:) The riverside location is nice. The staff are helpfull. The bar food was good - didn't try the restaurant but it looked good. The full English breakfast was vey good. We enjoyed our stay and would go back.
Plumbing needs overhauling - a bit on the noisy side. The fixtures and fittings are getting a little tired. Attention to detail needs reaffirming.
The choice of 2 dinning areas
Great service and staff are helpful without being overbearing which is common in other hotels. The restaurant is good. It is localted in a pleasant situation on the river.
Convenient location for Maidenhead and surounding areas. Hotel was comfortable and staff were always polite and helpful. Rooms were fine - clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was good, but the 8:30 start is quite late and meant that the first 15 minutes were quite busy and things did run out, but were replenished.
Parking onsite and location
Smelly shower curtain. Noisy in morning. Next to roof with fans.
